Overview
Totesports, formerly known as “The Tote” was founded in 1928, making it the UK’s oldest bookmaker. Totesports has over 510 betting stores with over 4000 employees, you can find a Totesport shop in most UK Horse racing tracks. Totesport was bought in June 2011 by BetFred, who bought it from the British Parliament. Totesports is the only bookmaker in the UK which is allowed to offer pool betting on horse racing.

Totesports is a solid and reputable company, it was owned by the government for almost 90 years and because of this they have a reputation of trustworthiness. If you are interested in horse racing ro greyhound racing, you will be hard pressed to find a more extensive market than Totesports or better betting options, then Totesports is the place for you. If you need more diversity in the sports you want to bet on, then you might want to check out another bookmaker.
